MINUTES OF THE ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING OF OKEFORD FITZPAINE
PARISH COUNCIL HELD IN THE PAVILION ON TUESDAY 16TH MAY 2000
Present:- Cllr M Burt
Cllr B Trowbridge
Cllr Mrs A Calcott
Cllr A Frampton
Cllr E Thorne
Cllr C Nelson
In attendance:- Mrs D Burt (clerk), Cllr M Bignell (N.D.D.C), and three members of the public.
1) Apologies Cllr R Corben
2) Matters arising from May 18th 1999 AGM none
3) Election of Chairman The chairman called for nominations. Cllr Mrs Calcott proposed and Cllr Trowbridge seconded that Cllr M Burt be elected for the coming year. There were no other nominations, the vote for Cllr Burt was unanimous and he was duly elected. He then signed a declaration of acceptance of office.
4) Election of Vice-Chairman The chairman called for nominations. Cllr Thorne proposed and Cllr Mrs Calcott seconded that Cllr Trowbridge be elected for the coming year. There were no other nominations, the vote for Cllr Trowbridge was unanimous and he was duly elected.
5) Council representative to other bodies
Village Hall management committee ? Cllr M Burt.
D.A.P.T.C. ? Cllr M Burt.
School Governors ? Cllr C Nelson.
Poor Lands Charity committee ? Cllrs A Frampton and E Thorne.
It was proposed by Cllr Mrs Calcott and seconded by Cllr Nelson that all the above be elected en bloc, this was agreed.
6) Other Representatives
Rights of Way Liaison Officer (FLO) ? Cllr Mrs Calcott was willing to continue.
Tree Officer ? Post not filled.
Local Public Transport Officer ? Post not filled. Clerk to contact previous officer to ascertain his willingness to continue.
Clerk?s note ? Mr Brian Gillingham arrived after the meeting and said he would be happy to carry on his role as transport officer.
The chairman thanked everyone for their assistance.
7) A.O.B. none
There being no further business proper to the AGM the chairman closed the meeting at 7-43pm.
